Thanks to Christine for inspiring this post.....
Welcome to our blog! I say "our" like Jason will be contributing to this, but, sadly, he thinks blogging without a purpose other than telling about the ins and outs of everyday life is mundane and unnecessary. But I still love him. I simply created this blog so that those who are interested (probably very few) can read about our daily (ok maybe weekly) happenings and goings-on. I don't see myself blogging every day, because frankly not a lot of exciting things happen to us. I will probably write a lot about our dogs Bear and Baloo, because they are the main source of our entertainment.
Jason and I just recently celebrated our first anniversary. We had a great time in Charlottesville, VA. We drove down on Saturday to tour the home of Thomas Jefferson and to get away from the city. We took two different routes, and the drive was beautiful both ways, but especially on the way home. We ended up on a road that must have been "inhereted millionare highway." There were countless farms and estates with rolling hills and beautiful homes. On Easter Sunday, our true anniversary date, we went to church and came home to eat our frozen wedding cake. It was still good! Thanks, Mom!
For the past year, Jason and I have been learning how to be a married couple. We were placed in a city far away from the support of family and friends which forced us to discover how to live together without their presence. I'm thinking of so many cliche' phrases that you have all heard a thousand times. It's been a challenge, but a good one!.....we are learning more and more everyday!.....we fall in love all over again....All these things are true, and I find myself even more thankful to God today than I was a year ago for allowing me to experience this amazing, difficult, wonderful, frustrating, beautiful challenge day in and day out!
